WJM Social Care Ltd is developing person-centred domiciliary care for adults aged 18–65 who need support to live safely and as independently as possible in their own homes.
REGISTRATION STATUS
CQC application status: WJM Social Care Ltd is currently applying to the Care Quality Commission for registration to provide the regulated activity of Personal Care. Regulated personal-care services will not commence until registration has been granted.
Domiciliary Care — Support built around everyday life
Home care allows a person to receive agreed care and support within their own home according to their assessed needs, preferences and care plan.
Our approach is intended to protect dignity and privacy while supporting people to remain involved in decisions about their daily routines and the way their care is provided.
We aim to support independence rather than taking over tasks that a person can safely complete for themselves.

Personal Care — Dignity and privacy matter
Where personal care forms part of an agreed care plan, support will be provided in a way that respects the person's dignity, privacy, preferences and choices.
Staff will only undertake tasks they are trained and competent to perform.

01 Mild Learning Disabilities
Support with personal care and everyday activities while promoting skills, choice and independence.
02 Mild Physical Disabilities
Personal care and daily-living support where needs can be safely met within WJM's competence and staffing model.
03 Mild Mental-Health Support Needs
Support with routines, wellbeing, confidence and independence alongside relevant professionals where appropriate.
Person-Centred Care — The care plan belongs to the person
Care planning should reflect the person's needs, strengths, preferences, communication, routines, risks and desired outcomes.
Choice
People should be involved in decisions about how their care is provided.
Dignity
Personal care should protect privacy, dignity and individual preferences.
Independence
Staff should encourage people to retain and develop skills wherever possible.
Safety
Care should reflect assessed risks, needs and staff competence.
Before Care Starts — Assessment comes first
Before accepting a referral, WJM will assess the person's needs and determine whether we have the staff, competence and resources required to provide safe and appropriate care.
The assessment will inform the person's care plan, risk assessments and staffing arrangements.

Medicines — individually assessed
Where medicines support is required, the level of assistance will be identified through assessment and documented in the person's care arrangements.
Staff will only provide medicines support in accordance with WJM procedures and within their training and assessed competence.
Safeguarding — People should feel safe in their own home
Concerns about abuse, neglect, exploitation or improper treatment will be taken seriously and addressed under WJM's safeguarding arrangements.
Service Boundaries — Safe care means knowing our limits
WJM will only accept a home-care package where we are satisfied that the person's needs can be safely and appropriately met within our staffing, competence and service model.
Where needs require specialist clinical interventions or specialist support outside WJM's current competence, we may decline the referral or recommend that a more appropriate provider is considered.
